Using Ebsco e-books

Can I find Ebsco e-books from Aalto-Primo: Yes, all purchased titles

User license: Depending on the book; single user, three user or unlimited user license

Off campus use (for Aalto University researchers and students): Yes, use the Aalto-Primo e-book link

Digital Rights Management (DRM) protected titles: Depending on the book

If an e-book is in use by another customer, you can place a hold on the e-book. You will get an email notification when the e-book is available for you.

Adding notes to e-books

Adding notes requires creating a user account to EBSCOhost and logging in.

Open a book by clicking eBook Full Text icon. Click My Notes at the top of the column on the left and then +New Note icon that appears in the Notes area.

Offline use

Download to computer: Yes, if the publisher has given permission

  • File format: ePUB or PDF (DRM protected)
  • Software requirement: Adobe Digital Editions
  • Personal My EBSChost account and Adobe ID is required to download e-books
  • Download period: 1-7 days

Download to mobile devices: Yes, if the publisher has given permission

  • Software requirements: Adobe Digital Editions app

  • Download period: 1-7 days
  • Downloading with Chrome browser does not work

Download to e-book reader: Pages saved as a PDF file can be read on e-book reader if the device supports PDF format.
