Turnitin is used in Aalto University to prevent plagiarism among other things.
Teachers may ask the students to return an assignment or a thesis to Turnitin submission box.
Students can also use Turnitin by themselves to check the originality of their assignment or thesis.
Information resources are used for theses, essays etc. to support presented claims, or alternatively to provide challenging views that you wish to criticise.
Plagiarism, or unacknowledged borrowing, refers to representing another person’s material as one’s own without appropriate references.
