Use of e-resources: Problems in using e-resources?

• Check e-resource availability from  Aalto-Primo
• Clear your browser's cache
• Try other browser
• Try accessing the e-resource with other type of connection, for example using VPN connection instead of other ways of remote access (more information about  VPN connection)
• Try another way of accessing the e-resource (for example if the link to a journal or a book does not work, find the publisher's database from Aalto-Primo and search the journal or book from there)

Using Goole Scholar through libproxy is not working at the moment.

There are two ways to use our information resources through Google Scholar outside of campus network.

1) Set your browser to show library links in Google Scholar:

• On the Scholar mainpage click Asetukset / Settings.
• Click Kirjastolinkit / Library links
• Type "aalto" in the search and press enter.
• Click the checkbox at Aalto University - ViewIt@Aalto and click Tallenna / Save.

2) Use VPN software and connection: https://www.aalto.fi/en/services/establishing-a-remote-connection-vpn-to-an-aalto-network

If you still can't access the e-resource, let us know: oppimiskeskus@aalto.fi

Describe the problem as accurately as possible. Let us know about the following things:

• Name of the e-resource you have problems with?
• What is the URL of the e-resource?
• Does the problem concern the whole database or only a part of it? (for example the whole publisher's database or only an individual e-journal)
• How does the problem occur? (you can send us a screenshot of an error message)
• How long has the problem occurred?
• Does the e-resource recognize Aalto University subscription (can you see Aalto University name or logo)?
• How are you trying to access the e-resource (for example Aalto-Primo, LibGuides, proxy list...)?
• Are you trying to access the e-resource from Aalto University network or remotely?
