If you want a thorough guidance to information retrieval and using our information resources, book a time for personal guidance.
IR kick-off session is an information retrieval (IR) and library use support session suitable for e.g. Aalto University School of Business Bachelor’s Thesis tutorial groups. The session introduces your group to the information resources available at Learning Centre.
Aalto Direct delivers all materials you need quickly and directly to your desk. The service is available only for Aalto University staff.

If Learning Centre doesn’t have an important book, journal or database, you can make an acquisition proposal.
Materials not available in Learning Centre collections can be requested from other libraries in Finland or abroad by filling an order form.
Aalto University students and staff can order books and article copies free of charge from the National Repository Library in Kuopio. The National Repository Library is the shared storage and interlibrary loan facility for all Finnish libraries.
Please note! Starting from 1.1.2023 Aalto University is involved in the pilot project of the National Repository Library. During the pilot project, the Repository Library sends the copies of requested articles directly to the library's customers by e-mail. Only the publications with ISSN is included in the pilot project. The duration of the project is the year 2023. Article copies from other libraries are sent in print form by the library services.
