E-book Guide: Printing, copying and downloading

Aalto University students and researchers:

• Directly from the university workstations from the university's landline network
• By logging in with your Aalto account wherever and whenever (remote use)
• Directly via Eduroam network or VPN connection wherever and whenever

Other customers:

• Directly from Learning Centre customer workstations

The most common e-book formats are PDF and ePUB. Specific software is required for transferring the content of e-books to devices:

  • Software requirements for smart phones and tablet devices: Adobe Reader and Adobe Digital Editions
  • Adobe ID is often needed to authorize the download

You can print and copy a reasonable portion of pages for personal study and research

If the e-book is DRM (Digital Rights Management) protected, printing and copying are restricted to a given percentage of pages
