The Publication Forum (JuFo)
The Publication Forum system is a qualitative classification of scientific publication channels including scientific journals, publication series, conferences, and book publishers in all scientific fields. The purpose of the Publication Forum is to provide a system for both quantitative and qualitative evaluation of the scientific publication practices. As of 2015 the classification is to serve as a quality indicator for the whole scientific publication production of universities within the Ministry of Education and Culture funding model.
The rating has three levels: 1 = basic; 2 = leading; 3 = top. Other identified publication channels that have not received level 1 rating are marked with 0. The Publication Forum operates within The Federation of Finnish Learned Societies and involves 23 field specific evaluation panels.
